Bangkok-Siem Reap
Arrive in Siem Reap and transfer to the GRAND HOTEL D’ANGKOR. Visit Angkor Thom, the Bayon temple, the Terrace of the Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King and Angkor Wat. A traditional puppet show in the evening followed by a welcome candlelit dinner at Banteay Thom temple. (B/L/D)
Siem Reap
Vist Neak Pean temple, Ta Som, Ta Prohm. Lunch at the Angkor Village hotel followed by afternoon tour of Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang, Banteay Kdei and sunset on top of the Phnom Bakkeng. Royal Cambodian dinner at the Restaurant Le Grand of the hotel. (B/L/D)
Siem Reap
Sunrise breakfast at Preah Khan temple, followed by tour. Excursion out of town to Banteay Srei temple. In the afternoon, visit the Angkor Conservation and the Chantiers Ecole, a workshop for young people in building crafts. Sunset cruise on the Tonle Sap lake, followed by a farewell poolside barbecue at the hotel. (B/L/D)
Siem Reap-Phnom Penh-Ho Chi Minh City
Depart from Siem Reap for Phnom Penh by airplane. Transfer from the airport to the National Museum, followed by a visit to the Silver Pagoda. Lunch at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Cambodia, followed by an afternoon flight out to Ho Chi Minh City. Transfer to the MAJESTIC HOTEL, followed by introductory coach tour of the city. Dinner at the Blue Ginger restaurant. (B/L/D)
Ho Chi Minh-Danang
Visit the National History Museum, the French colonial style Post Office, the Cathedral of Notre Dame before checkout from the hotel. Lunch at the Mandarine restaurant followed by a transfer to the airport for the domestic flight to Danang. Check in to the FURAMA BEACH RESORT on China Beach. (B/L/D)
Danang: Hoi An
Depart on an excursion to the Cham ruins at My Son. After a picnic lunch, continue to explore the town of Hoi An before returning back to Danang for a poolside dinner. (B/L/D)
Danang-Hue
In the morning, visit the Cham Museum, then depart by private coach to Hue, stopping for lunch along the way. Visit the two of the Royal Tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty: that of Minh Mang and of Tu Duc. In Hue, check in to the HOTEL MORIN. In the evening, enjoy an Imperial dinner and a performance of Vietnamese musicians and folk dancers. (B/L/D)
Hue-Hanoi
Visit the Imperial Citadel in the morning, including the Palace of Supreme Harmony. Lunch at the hotel. Depart for Hanoi in the afternoon and transfer to the SOFITEL METROPOLE HOTEL. Dinner at Le Beaulieu restaurant at the hotel. (B/L/D)
Hanoi
After breakfast, depart on a tour of Hanoi, beginning at the History Museum. Continue to the Fine Arts Museum, followed by lunch at the President Garden restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the One-Pillar Pagoda and the Thirty-Six Street district. An evening performance of water puppets followed by dinner at the Nam Phoung restaurant. (B/L/D)
Hanoi-Vientiane-Luang Prabang
Mid-morning departure for Laos. Lunch in Vientiane at the Kua Lao restaurant, followed by an afternoon departure to Luang Prabang. Transfer to the MOUANG LUANG HOTEL, followed by a city tour and visit to Phousi hill for sunset. Welcome dinner with lamvong folk dances. (B/L/D)
Luang Prabang
A boat trip along the Mekong river to the Pak Ou Caves. After a picnic lunch, visit the village of Ban Phanom to see local crafts. Traditional Lao food dinner at the hotel. (B/L/D)
Luang Prabang
Visit the National Museum in the morning, formerly the Royal Palace. An optional visit to the central market, followed by lunch. Afterwards, visit Wat Xieng Thong (Golden City Temple) and other important temples of the town. Dinner at the hotel. (B/L/D)
Luang Prabang-Vientiane
Depart in the morning back to Vientiane and, on the way to the hotel, visit Pha That Luang, the best-known stupa in Laos. Transfer to the LAO PLAZA HOTEL and continue to lunch at the May Yuan Chinese Restaurant at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit Wat Sisaket and Wat Pha Keo, also museums of religious art. Vientiane-Pakse
Depart for early-morning flight to Pakse and transfer to the dock to board the VAT PHOU boat for a 3-day journey on the Mekong River. After lunch, dock at Champassak to visit Vat Phou temple. Dinner on board. (B/L/D)
Cruising
The boat sails to Khong Island and through the "4000 Islands" area. A short walk through the village of Og Khong, then continue by road and ferry to the Pha Pheng falls for a picnic lunch. Dinner on board. (B/L/D)
Cruising
Breakfast and lunch served on board, followed by a stop at the Khmer temple of Oum Muang. Return to boat in the afternoon and farewell dinner on board. (B/L/D)
Pakse-Vientiane-Bangkok
The Vat Phou boat returns to Pakse in the early morning. Transfer to airport for flight back to Vientiane. Visit the central market and silk weaving workshop of Carol Cassidy. Lunch at the Café Dok Champa at the Lao Plaza Hotel before departing for the airport for the flight out to Bangkok. (B/L/D)
